The University of Pennsylvania is a private Ivy League research university located in the University City section of Philadelphia. For over 10 years we have been working on holiday cards for both president and provost of the university. We also created limited-edition birthday cards for the president to a select group of high-profile people every year. In addition to the cards we worked with The Wharton School to design a report.

It was a great challenge to create cards to represent Penn’s brand. All of the projects in this collection are based upon material elements found at the University including ivy, the broken button, College Hall, president’s residence, and the University colors of blue and red.

We’ve worked with SK Designworks for many years to design our annual holiday card. They’ve continuously come up with beautiful and innovative designs, often with very little input. The team at SK Designworks is adept at listening to the client to extract the desired impact and then crafting pieces to communicate it effectively. In addition to their creativity, they are also a pleasure to work with year after year.

The main challenge designing for the provost was to create something that is different than the president’s card and yet convey Penn’s image. Our most recent version was an animated digital card.
